The Fed Decided. Here's What It Actually Said — In Plain English — October 28, 2026. The Federal Reserve held its key rate at 3.75% to 4.00% — and the two members who disagreed wanted it higher. Here is the decision, the words that changed, and what it means for everyday money, in plain English.
How it works
One connected journey takes first-time learners from “I keep hearing about crypto” to “I understand what I’m looking at.”
Work through jargon-free lessons designed for people starting at the beginning—not traders pretending to be beginners.
Use a pretend-money balance to test decisions and learn how markets move without putting real money on the line.
Follow a 30-day challenge, earn points, build a streak, and collect badges as your knowledge grows.
Visual coin atlas
A lesson-side legend connects names, symbols, and purpose at the moment each concept is introduced. It is a learning aid—not a ranking or recommendation.
Symbol → network role → plain-language meaning → source
CURRICULUM PREVIEWDigital money. Shows how people can send money straight to each other with no bank in the middle — and why there can only ever be so much of it.
A programmable network. Shows how the same technology can also run apps and self-running agreements — not just send money.
A dollar-pegged coin. Shows how some digital coins are designed to stay worth about one dollar instead of swinging up and down.
Another app network. Gives you something to compare — some networks are built for speed, others for low fees.
The finished curriculum can repeat this visual pattern beside each relevant lesson, so you connect each coin's short name with what it does before you meet it in the practice account.
Practice without the pressure
The practice account gives every learner the same starting point: $10,000 in pretend money and room to make decisions, review outcomes, and learn.
SIMULATED STARTING BALANCE
Founder’s story
Founder, CertiBitcation™
CertiBitcation began with a simple conviction: nobody should have to risk money just to understand how crypto works. K. Cortez Coley set out to create the kind of starting point beginners deserve—clear language, room to practice, and a path that rewards steady progress instead of hype.
The result is an education-first experience where curious learners can understand the fundamentals, test decisions in a simulated environment, and build confidence at their own pace.
Understanding comes first. Real financial decisions depend on it.

CertiBitcation is built to make the first step feel informed—not intimidating.
No. The lessons begin with the fundamentals and explain key ideas in plain language, so you can start without prior trading or technical experience.
No. The $10,000 balance is pretend money. It lets you explore decisions and outcomes without placing real trades or risking your own money.
The difference is the complete beginner journey: plain-language lessons, a practice account with pretend money, a structured 30-day challenge, and visible progress through points, streaks, and badges—all in one experience.
No. CertiBitcation is an educational product. It helps you understand concepts and practice simulated decisions; it does not tell you what to buy, sell, or hold.
Premium is $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. The annual plan saves $39.89 compared with twelve monthly payments.

These terms are an agreement between you and Kenneth Cortez Coley, a sole proprietor doing business as CertiBitcation ("CertiBitcation," "we," "us"), the operator of the CertiBitcation app (certibitcation.base44.app), the CertiBitcation website and articles, and the $10K Challenge (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Contact: CertiBitcation@gmail.com
CertiBitcation is an educational product. It teaches cryptocurrency concepts to beginners in plain English through lessons, articles, quizzes, and a paper-trading simulator.
Nothing in the Service is financial advice. Nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any cryptocurrency or other asset, and nothing is personalized to your financial situation. Cryptocurrency is volatile and can lose some or all of its value. Decisions about real money are yours alone, and we encourage you to consult a licensed financial professional about your own circumstances.
Lessons are taken in order. Each lesson includes checkpoint questions; you must pass a lesson's checkpoint to unlock the next lesson, and badges are awarded for passing checkpoints. Checkpoint results are recorded as part of your progress. Badges, XP, streaks, levels, and certificates are recognition of learning progress only — they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, cryptocurrency, or anything else of value.
The core lessons are free. CertiBitcation Premium is a paid subscription that adds premium lessons, full graded assessments, and AI coaching. One Premium subscription covers both the app and the premium content on the website.
The $10K Challenge is a free, simulated paper-trading competition run inside the Service. Entry, scoring, deadlines, and prizes are governed by the official $10K Challenge Rules published on the website; if these Terms and the official Rules ever conflict about the Challenge, the official Rules control for the Challenge. Prizes are periods of CertiBitcation Premium time. No cash prizes are offered, and no purchase is necessary to enter or win. We may disqualify entries that violate the official Rules, including duplicate entries by the same person.
Do not: use the Service for unlawful purposes; attempt to access another person's account; disrupt, scrape at abusive rates, or reverse-engineer the Service except where the law allows; submit false contest entries or falsified portfolio values; or present CertiBitcation content as financial advice or as your own work.
Lessons, articles, videos, the CertiBitcation™ name and emblem, and other Service content belong to the operator or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use the Service for your own learning; you may not copy, resell, or redistribute the content commercially without written permission. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact CertiBitcation@gmail.com with the details and we will review it promptly.
We may update, add, or remove features, and we work to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Lesson content may be corrected or improved over time.
The Service is provided "as is" for education. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the extent the law allows, the operator's total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. You are solely responsible for decisions you make about real money, whether or not you learned something here first.
We may suspend or end an account that violates these terms. You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing CertiBitcation@gmail.com.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the app or on the website before it takes effect where required. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

CertiBitcation™ ("CertiBitcation," "we," "us") is operated by Kenneth Cortez Coley, a sole proprietor doing business as CertiBitcation ("DBA CertiBitcation"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the CertiBitcation app (certibitcation.base44.app), the CertiBitcation website, our articles, and the $10K Challenge, and what we do with it.
Questions about this policy: CertiBitcation@gmail.com
Account information. When you create an account in the app, we receive your name and email address and a record of your sign-in, through our app platform provider (Base44).
Learning activity. Your lesson progress, checkpoint/quiz answers and scores, badges, streaks, XP, and certificates. Some checkpoint answers are checked automatically against key learning points; your answers are stored so your progress can be saved and shown to you.
Simulator activity. Your simulated portfolio, simulated trades, and balances inside the paper-trading simulator. These involve play money only. No real funds, brokerage accounts, or crypto wallets are connected to the simulator.
AI coaching conversations (Premium). If you use the premium AI coaching feature, the content of those conversations is processed to generate coaching responses and may be retained so the coaching can continue across sessions. Do not put passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or other secrets into coaching conversations.
Contest and form submissions. When you join the waitlist or enter the $10K Challenge through a form on our website, we receive the information you type into the form — your email address, your leaderboard display name, and your confirmation that you agree to the Challenge rules. During the Challenge, weekly portfolio-value submissions you send us are recorded next to your display name to build the leaderboard.
Payment information. Premium subscriptions are paid through Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our systems. We receive from Stripe a record of your subscription (plan, status, billing dates, and a transaction reference) so we can switch Premium on and off correctly. Stripe's handling of your payment data is covered by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Technical information. The platforms we run on (including Base44, our form-delivery provider Netlify, and Stripe) may automatically record standard technical data such as device type, browser, IP address, and cookies needed for sign-in, security, and making the services work. We do not run our own advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal information.
We rely on a small number of service providers, each handling only what its job requires: Base44 (app hosting and accounts), Stripe (payments and subscriptions), and Netlify (delivering website form submissions to our inbox). Market prices shown in the simulator come from public market-data sources; using the simulator does not send your personal information to those sources.
We keep account and learning records while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except for records we must keep for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or contest-integrity reasons. Leaderboard display names from a completed Challenge may remain visible in published results unless you ask us to remove yours.
Purchases and $10K Challenge entry are limited to people 18 or older. CertiBitcation's educational content is written for adult beginners and is not directed at children under 13; if you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use the security provided by our platform providers, including encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure; please use a unique password for your account and contact us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, note the change in the app or on the website. Continuing to use CertiBitcation after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
